About Goodwill Inn

The Goodwill Inn Homeless Shelter is owned and operated by GW Homeless Services, Inc.

The Inn provides emergency shelter and access to donated food to homeless men, women, and families in Northern Michigan.

Housing placement services, job placement services, vocational services, life skills classes, case management, and children's services are also provided through an agreement with Goodwill Industries of Northern Michigan, Inc.

Goodwill Inn of Traverse City, the largest homeless shelter in Northern Michigan, provides the first line of defense for people who have lost their homes and are trying to build stable, productive lives.

Goodwill Inn has been in operation since 1979 and welcomes anyone who is homeless. Our new Goodwill Inn, which opened December 19, 2006, is a 70-bed facility for men, women and families, with a newly opened youth wing Pete's Place serving up to nine youth ages 14 - 18.
